1. Who this agreement is with

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Jumpstart Solutions, LLC (“VentureGuide,” “we,” “us”), governing your use of the VentureGuide app.

2. What VentureGuide is

VentureGuide is an app that generates a personalized business roadmap, lessons, and coaching-style guidance using an AI model (Claude, by Anthropic), based on what you tell it about your business idea and situation.

VentureGuide’s guidance is AI-generated and general in nature. It is not professional financial, legal, tax, or business advice, and it is not a substitute for consulting a qualified professional before making real business, financial, or legal decisions. AI-generated content can be wrong, outdated, or not suited to your specific situation. You are responsible for verifying anything important before acting on it, and for the outcomes of your own business decisions. We do not guarantee any particular result, income, or business outcome from using VentureGuide.

VentureGuide is not a mental health service and Vinny is not equipped to help in a crisis. If you’re in emotional distress or having thoughts of suicide or self-harm, please reach out to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988 in the US) or the Crisis Text Line (text HOME to 741741) — or your local emergency number if you or someone else is in immediate danger.

3. Who can use VentureGuide

You must be able to form a legal agreement to use VentureGuide. If you are under 18, you may use VentureGuide only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian, particularly for any step that involves money, contracts, or registering a business — those specific actions generally require an adult regardless of what VentureGuide suggests. If you are a parent or guardian permitting a minor to use VentureGuide, you agree to these Terms on their behalf and take responsibility for their use of the app.

VentureGuide is not intended for children under 13. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle age and data for younger users.

We rely on the age you provide and don’t independently verify it.

4. Your account

You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for what happens under your account. Tell us right away if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

5. What you enter into VentureGuide

You keep ownership of what you type into VentureGuide — your business description, quiz answers, logged progress, and messages to Vinny. By using the app, you give us permission to use that content to run the service for you: generating your roadmap, remembering your context, and sending relevant parts of it to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate responses. Don’t enter anything into VentureGuide that you don’t have the right to share, or that’s illegal, abusive, or intended to manipulate or attack the app itself (including attempts to overload our systems or bypass usage limits).

6. Acceptable use

Use VentureGuide for its intended purpose — getting help building a business. Don’t:

• Try to interfere with, disrupt, or overload VentureGuide’s systems
• Attempt to access another user’s account or data
• Use VentureGuide to build or promote anything illegal
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell VentureGuide’s roadmap-generation service

We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. VentureGuide's own content

The VentureGuide app, its design, the Vinny character, and our own written content are owned by Jumpstart Solutions, LLC. You don’t get any ownership rights in VentureGuide itself by using it — only in the business you actually go build.

8. Third-party services

VentureGuide runs on top of other companies’ infrastructure — including Anthropic (AI generation), Supabase (data storage and sign-in), and Resend (email delivery). We aren’t responsible for outages or issues caused by those providers being unavailable, though we’ll do our best to keep the app working. This also covers outages from causes outside our reasonable control generally — things like internet or hosting provider failures, natural disasters, or similar events.

9. No warranty

VentureGuide is provided “as is” and “as available.” We don’t promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate — including the roadmaps, lessons, and Vinny’s replies, which are AI-generated and can contain mistakes.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Jumpstart Solutions, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of VentureGuide, including business losses or decisions made based on AI-generated guidance. Nothing in these Terms limits liability where the law doesn’t allow it to be limited.

11. Ending your use of VentureGuide

You can stop using VentureGuide and delete your account at any time from within the app. We can suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data when your account is deleted.

12. Indemnification

You agree to cover reasonable costs and damages we face arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of VentureGuide, except where that arises from something we did wrong.

13. Assignment

We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms — for example, if VentureGuide is acquired or restructured. We’ll still make sure your data continues to be handled consistent with our Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as VentureGuide changes. If we make a material change, we’ll update the date above and do our best to let active users know inside the app.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If you have a dispute with us, contact us first at the email below — we’d rather resolve it directly than end up somewhere formal.

16. Severability

If any part of these Terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.

17. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us regarding VentureGuide, and replace any earlier versions.
